How Can You Live Abundantly, With Prosperity, And In Harmony With Yourself?
When you live a life which is out of line with your basic purpose or mission, there’s a part of you which always knows it is being cheated of its true expression.
That’s your inner voice, your soul, speaking.
This is the part of you that makes you look in the mirror and wonder how you arrived right where you are, right now – and then makes you question what happened to the dreams you had as a child, teenager and young adult.
Although this may sound sad, it doesn’t need to be. Even if you’re well aware that you’re not living the life that’s right for you, you can always find your mission or purpose, get back on track, and live it more fully.
But we’re not living in a society which has the ceremonies and the skills and the elders who might help us find our path, so many people struggle for a lifetime trying to discover what it is they are meant to be doing.
Before they die, unfulfilled, never having discovered this.
(See The Top 5 Regrets Of The Dying at the bottom of this page.)
On the other hand, as long as you’re constantly working towards manifesting your true purpose in life, it’s fair to say that there is no such thing as a mistake, just “learning experiences” which can help you find your true path.
Now, you may or may not believe that there is one specific purpose that you’ve been put on the earth to fulfill, but suppose for a minute that were true.
How would that change your vision of the future and what you wanted from life?
In fact, consider this question: could it be that you’re not following your true path because you believe “there’s no money in it for you” or “you can’t afford to make the change”?
So many people want to make changes, feel trapped, don’t know how to find the thing it is they need to do. Most commonly, this is because they feel trapped by money (or the lack of money).
Indeed, most people think money is a one way ticket to freedom.
For most of us money represents a solution to all our problems, which is why so many people spend so much time trying to manifest it using the Law of Attraction.
Yet those who write about fulfillment generally say “follow your heart and the money will follow” – or some variation of that philosophy.
What they’re saying is that all we need to do is follow our soul’s path, rely on our intuition to take us along our own individual path, and that somehow prosperity and abundance will come naturally.
What a fearful prospect for the majority of us! Abandoning what we know…. for the unknown…..
Eckhart Tolle: Your Soul Purpose
The Law Of Attraction Never Fails – You Just Have To Trust It
Most of us aren’t in touch with our souls, and we certainly don’t know what our soul purpose might be. The very idea that we have a soul purpose may even frighten us.
So for all our lives something, somewhere in our souls remains unsatisfied and the question is always present, rarely expressed: “How will I feel if I die, never having fulfilled myself and manifested my purpose and potential?”
No wonder, therefore, that we start trying to manifest money using the Law of Attraction.
We perceive money as a commodity that can give us power and freedom and control over what happens to us – including the opportunity to manifest our deepest desires.
Wow! What a paradox!
Does money come before we discover our true purpose, or does money come from discovering our true purpose?
The fact is – it can happen either way round. Just as well, really.
We live in a society where materialistic values rule. We are all in some way dependent on having enough money to sustain our lives. And most of us don’t have the mechanisms to look into ourselves, discover our true purpose, and make it manifest.

So What’s The Solution?
Deborah Price – in her book Money Magic – suggests that it’s important to know the difference between abundance and prosperity. She defines abundance as having plenty – or more than enough. And she defines prosperity as being successful or fortunate.
Most of us think that prosperity means we need to have a fortune in the bank account. Yet true prosperity comes in many different forms – it’s the reward of following a path which matches your basic life purpose.
Some of those forms of prosperity are – love, contentment, happiness, true friendship and companionship. And more.
Indeed, prosperity is usually the product of following your path to fulfillment – your individual mission or purpose in life (I use the words interchangeably).
When anyone discovers – or to put it more accurately, recovers – this part of themselves, they truly begin to shine in their magnificence.
Yet many people fail to discover their gift because they are constricted by the belief that the expression of their gift must have something to do with their occupation or vocation – in other words, how they earn money.
The fact of the matter is that what you do to earn money will not always reflect who you truly are.
And those who manage to find a connection between their spiritual path (i.e. their mission or purpose) and the way they and their livelihood are indeed truly blessed.
In part, it’s a lack of faith or vision that prevents us from seeing how often our livelihood and purpose can be intertwined.
Most people seem to believe that earning money by following your path in life is the exception rather than the rule.
That’s because so many people are restricted by fear, or possibly because they simply choose to see life that way.
In reality, when someone steps on to their path with complete commitment, the universe produces miracles of manifestation which facilitate their progress.
What is needed to achieve this happy state is both faith, and surrender.
Yet all is not lost if you are not yet in a place where you can generate enough faith to surrender to the “will” of the universe.
All that the Law of Attraction requires to operate for you, just as it does for everyone else, is your belief in what you’re trying to manifest, your expectancy that it will do so, and your intense desire to have that outcome in your life, and some action which will bring it towards you.
If this is how you choose to approach manifestation then you could usefully consider how you might express your true gifts and talents separately from the way you earn your living.
Top 5 Regrets Of the Dying
1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
As we’re beginning to see, manifesting reality isn’t as simple as The Secret made it seem!
No surprise there, I guess!
But if you’re really trying to get something that you want, and it’s just not working, what are you going to do about it?
To start with, have a look back at some of the other posts on this blog, which deal with this very problem. Then come back here!
In this post we’re going to look at more ideas you often see repeated by writers on The Law of Attraction, and see how true they are.
But What Do You Have To Actually Do?
Something that you hear a lot when people talk about the Law of attraction is that it’s not your job to make anything happen….
It sometimes seems all you have to do is form the vision, believe in the vision, expect the vision to be created and it will manifest automatically.
But this is so wrong.
And if you believe that idea, then you’re being more than a little bit naive – the universe works according to certain universal laws, and the Law of Attraction high on that list, but another universal law is “you don’t get something for nothing”.
You actually have to do something.
Yes, that’s right, you have to take action if you want to manifest your desires.
I suspect very few people would find that a surprise – were all custom to the law of cause and effect work in our lives: you do something, something happens.
Some physical action, I mean.
But even here, the “experts” don’t agree. Some say you have to take “Massive Action” (goodness!)
Others say that all you have to do is just take some small action which demonstrates to the universe the are actually serious about your intention.
Again, how can we to sort out the truth from the flim-flam?
Well, it’s obvious that you can’t just sit around visualizing your objectives and hope they will manifest.
You do have to do something to give the universe plenty of opportunity to manifest it in your life.
So taking tangible steps isn’t just about proving to the universe you’re serious about what you want. Indeed, it’s by taking action, by creating opportunities, that you allow the universe to deliver what it is you want.
I don’t agree with the proposition that you really have to act as though there was no other possible truth for you (ie take Massive Action) – that’s called burning your bridges, and while it demonstrates commitment, I don’t think the Law of Attraction or the universal consciousness require it of you.
But I do think you need to demonstrate your commitment in some very positive and tangible way – for example by taking steps towards your objective that are realistic for you.
Taking massive action can destroy your belief in what you’re trying to achieve. If I wanted $1 million, and I visualized that appearing in my bank account, for the purpose of buying a beautiful retreat center in natural woodland, let’s say, the concept of “massive action” might include going to the bank and raising a $1 million mortgage before the money had appeared….. oh dear.
Indeed, it might do, and for some people that probably would work.
But for many others it would destroy their faith and belief in the process, and cause them more difficulties than they can cope with.
In other words, they would be taking a step too far for their belief system to cope with!
You, like everyone else, must take steps that are geared to your belief system, geared to your capacity to believe in what you’re trying to do, and match your ability to influence events in the physical world.
There are so many aspects to this: when you start believing, really believing, in something that you really desire, and you take action to manifest it in the world, the universe will start offering you extraordinary coincidences and synchronicities which can rapidly take you further towards your goal.
These are your opportunities, and they may only be around for a short time – your challenge is to grab them when they present themselves.
Indeed, it’s your challenge to pay attention to the signs and clues that are presented to you, and then it’s your challenge to act upon them.
So Is Massive Action Necessary?
No: in my opinion it’s not.
You can manifest your desires by taking small actions: get on your phone and speak to someone whose name cropped up in a conversation. Get some information on how to achieve a certain objective. Start researching the informational resources that you need to bring your dream into reality. Buy the domain name for your website. Post the package. Take the trip…. Whatever it is, do it now.
The Universe Is Calling You to Action
Make no mistake about it: ideas don’t turn into reality on their own.
Ideas become reality because you take simple tangible steps that drive you constantly towards your goals.
Vision alone is not enough.
You know what your vision is, and you hopefully also know that you are not concerned with what are known as “the cursed hows” – in other words, the exact way in which your desire is going to manifest.
But make sure you keep a journal and a record of the things that occur to you, of what the universe seems to be telling you, of the opportunities that present themselves.
When ideas and plans occur to you, write them down. Why? Because if you try and remember them all, you’ll forget them.
Next, prioritize what you need to do, and focus on a few selective things that will get things moving.
You don’t have to be all things to all men. You don’t have to do everything that occurs to you.
But you do have to do something. Choose the things that you believe will give you the biggest impact with the least effort.
And stay focused! Don’t allow the distractions of Facebook (and all the other stuff available to you) to take you on a different path, for example.
And there are plenty of other distractions on the Internet: but a sign of your sovereignty, the strength of your inner king or queen, is your ability to stick to the path that you have chosen and work towards getting what you want.
It’s all too easy to find other things to do while you should be working on your goals, but they won’t serve you in the long run. Even when your mind is bored, or your attention distracted, there’s always something you can do which is more profitable and more useful in keeping you on the path to your ultimate objective.
So in this regard, make sure that your days are structured, and you know what you’ll be doing when.
Remember: You Don’t Know Everything
And nor can you. And nor should you. Get help and support where necessary, find information wherever you can, and take the opportunities that the universe offers you to improve your knowledge and skills.
Constant self-development – not necessarily in a spiritual sense, but in a practical sense, may really help you to achieve your objectives faster and more easily.
Only you can know the skills that will help you get to where you’re going: learning a language, developing greater computer skills, training in some craft, taking a course in business administration…. When you open your eyes to the possibilities, you see one thing that generally escapes us in life: opportunity is everywhere.
And YOU therefore need to make the choice about what’s most important for you, about what will drive you towards your goal fastest.
One thing’s for sure: if you’re off track, the universe will give you a sign and an opportunity to get back on track.
A Mastermind Group Can Help Manifest Anything
One of the ideas that you come across repeatedly in reading about the Law of Attraction and manifestation is the idea of the mastermind group.
I think this came originally from Napoleon Hill’s writings. He described a group of people working together as having brainpower and emotional energy many times greater than that of an individual working alone.
The effect is not additive, it’s geometric – in other words the power of five people’s minds working together is much more than five times the sum of their brainpower.
That’s why you need to be around people inspire you: you need to be around people who excite you: you need to be around people who are successful: you need to be supported by people who can mentor you and show you what success really means.
You could do this alone, of course, but why believe some old story about nobody being there to help you?
The truth is there are plenty of people who would willingly accept you as an apprentice, a partner, a colleague, a supporter – and show you what to do to be successful.
When you form a mastermind group, make sure that the people in it are truly supportive of you and what you want to achieve. Meet regularly, and discuss ideas in a positive and supportive way.
Brainstorming with a group of people like this who are on track to achieve the same or similar objectives can be a massive step forward in making your own success manifest.
One of the questions I get asked time and time is one of the simplest: why doesn’t the Law of Attraction work for me?
After all, The Secret made it sound so easy.
There are a few reasons why things might not be working out for you.
First of all, just to recap a little bit from one of my previous post, are you coming from your head or your heart?
If you’re coming from your head, thinking of the things that you might like to have in your life, then I’m wondering if perhaps you’re being influenced by the world around you…. By what we are conditioned to want through adverts on TV and other ephemeral rubbish.
To what extent, in other words, are your desires guided by the cultural norm?
However, in my opinion, there’s no reason you shouldn’t try and manifest material goods and wealth. If you’re serious about what you want, you might even be successful. In fact you probably will.
The problem is when you’re coming from your head in this way – which means coming from your ego, or coming from a place where you’re basically concerned with status or appearance or something materialistic in nature – you often don’t have the energy to sustain the process of manifesting your desires.
For one thing, the desires of the mind, the desires of the ego, can be distracted by the trivialities of everyday life that call upon us.
Imagine, then, how this compares with your soul purpose: if you’re trying to manifest something which is essentially about the nature of “who you are” and “what your purpose on the planet is”, I guess you can put a lot more energy into creating your reality.
That’s because heart-driven objectives will provide you with more vital energy to sustain the process between coming up with the idea and manifesting in your life.
To put it simply: you just don’t want it enough. Oh dear.
In addition, of course, heartfelt desires are not superficial, unlike the desires that we come up with from our minds in response to fads and fashions or what’s seen as desirable in society at the moment.
On the other hand there is a danger in listening to experts on the law of attraction who become too puritanical and claim that there’s no point trying to manifest anything unless your objective is in line with your soul purpose.
That’s just a viewpoint which goes to the opposite extreme and is no more helpful. Fact is: we are given the ability to manifest material goods, and many people use it successfully.
So If You Keep Your Energy Focused, Will Something Manifest More Quickly?
You’d certainly think so, wouldn’t you, from reading so much of the Law of Attraction material which has been published recently?
I mean, almost every author speaks of the need to constantly focus on what you want, to provide your vision with emotional energy all the time.
Indeed some people will say that you need to become almost “obsessed” with your objectives.
However, there is another point of view. It’s this: what about the idea that constantly obsessing about what you want will actually stop things manifesting for you?
Sidebar: at this point you may feel some frustration, because what I’ve written above is probably a minor representation of so much material on the Law of Attraction. One author says one thing, another says the opposite. Both say that their views are correct. Both swear their views are correct. Indeed, both say that you can’t possibly manifest anything if you follow any advice but theirs. And clearly that’s ridiculous. So where does the truth lie? The simplest explanation of this is that what you believe determines how successful you are with manifestation. So if you believe something is essential to the process of creating it, then it becomes so for you. Perhaps that’s why authors who’ve had success with their own system of manifestation will so clearly and fervently affirm that theirs is the only way.
I agree that it’s certainly possible that obsessing may get in the way of your desires manifesting.
But there are other explanations too; the simplest of them is this – there really might be different ways in which you can achieve success at manifestation.
It’s All So Confusing – Make Your Own Mind Up
Michael Mackintosh says that for him success comes when he does the opposite of trying to think about what he wants and believes he has. As he says:
“Ironically, every time amazing things happen in my life it is after I’ve done the following:
1 Got clear my heart’s true desires.
2 Surrendered to the divine and felt so full inside myself that I must don’t need anything. He calls this receiving divine power and freedom.
3 Let go of any desire to have the things I want completely.”
In other words he is saying that the magic happens when he truly no longer wants the thing he was thinking about, because the universe then somehow brings it about for him. He calls it bizarre.
And indeed at first reading it does sound pretty strange. He says however, that on countless occasions, within one second up to 24-hours after letting go, amazing things have shown up for him.
To quote him again: “This is a strange surprise because I have just given up wanting it completely and have no interest in it.”
You’ll see that the key to this, the key to this method of achieving your goals, I mean, is letting go, surrendering, and feeling full before the desire has been attained.
Michael illustrates this more clearly by saying it’s one thing to imagine you have a nice car and feel good because you are daydreaming about it; and quite another to feel quite contented with your life now regardless of any cars or other circumstances.
In other words, his suggestion is that you need to just be content with the way things are now. It’s a form of surrender, of letting go, perhaps even of being open to the Highest Good for all concerned.
Michael calls this a secret, and if it’s true, then it probably is a greater secret than any so-called secret in The Secret!
Oh, by the way, he says that this won’t work if your motivation is simply to get stuff. In other words, there has to be some spiritual aspect to your motivation.
To summarize again: you need to be willing to genuinely surrender and let go of your desire. Replace it with the knowledge that the universe can supply all your needs, all the time, and is ready to do so. (Indeed, it aready has. All you have to do is ask for them.) And then open to whatever manifestation represents the highest good for all concerned.
But how do you let go?
Well, of course we are materialistic animals, and completely surrendering and releasing your desire for something is not so easy.
The question is, as Michael so rightly says, how can you want something with all your heart and yet not care whether or not you get it?
This is probably what people mean when they talk about releasing your desires.
One technique which I have seen repeated in several places is to imagine the scene of your desired manifestation inside a bubble and then to release it back into the universe, offering it up to God, and allowing yourself to relinquish the dream if it isn’t for the highest good of all concerned. (It’s probably good idea to ask for something which IS for the highest good of all concerned.)
I won’t discuss everything Michael says about this process here, I think it’s worth getting the book if you’re interested in learning more about this.
But it’s a highly evolved spiritual position, I think, where you can accept that the universe is ready to give you everything that you need, if you can completely surrender your desires.
It’s summed up in an expression that you may well have heard in many different situations: all you need is within you now. It’s a profound statement which is true on many levels.
It will not have escaped you, I’m sure, that despite the assertions you hear over and over again that each and everyone of us can use the Law of Attraction equally well, some people do seem to be more successful than others.
Could it be that they are spiritually more evolved?
Some people seem to manifest things effortlessly. Indeed, I have experienced this myself: sometimes just a simple thought has been enough to make things change overnight.
Other people can practice and practice and practice, yet manifestation never seems to deliver for them.
What Michael Mackintosh calls the Law of Ascension is a way of representing our level of conscious evolution.
Conscious Evolution & Manifest Success
It’s our level of conscious evolution that determines how much power we have when we attempting to manifest using Law of Attraction principles.
You see, like it or not, it is a fact that we are not all equally developed or evolved as conscious human beings: I think you only have to look around you to see how true that is!
And the simple fact of the matter is that in terms of connection with the universe, the higher your level of consciousness, the the higher your level of spiritual evolution, the more power you have to manifest things.
This is because with a high level of consciousness you are nearer the plane of spiritual evolution that leads to enlightenment.
By definition, enlightenment is connection with the universal life force, the field from which everything emanates. To put it another way, the higher your level of consciousness (or spiritual evolution), the more of the time you’re going to be in close connection with the universe.
This makes manifestation much easier and consistent.
Regrettably, if your level of spiritual evolution is low (in other words, if your level of consciousness is low), then your personal power is low, and your connection with the universal energetic field from which everything manifests is much weaker and – probably – less consistent.
What that means is that you’re less likely to be able to manifest anything. And indeed, if you do manifest things, these outcomes will probably appear inconsistently in your life.
Now, it may not seem fair to you that we do not all have the same level of consciousness, but it is a regrettable fact. Even though we live in a democracy where we are all supposed to be equal, the truth of the matter is that as far as manifestation is concerned, there is no such concept of equality .
Some people are more gifted at manifesting, at co-creating reality, than others. It’s as simple as that.
And it equally follows that if you wish to become more effective at using the Law of Attraction then you need to increase your level of consciousness, or engage in a process of spiritual evolution.
That’s because simply sitting there “thinking about something” won’t be effective in bringing it into physical reality in your world unless you have the energetic power and the level of evolution of consciousness necessary to focus your mind in a consistent way.
To put this another way, it’s like saying that manifestation is not the product of the effort you put into it. Rather, it’s the product of the level of spiritual power and conscious evolution you have.
So, if you don’t have the power to feel good, to think positively, and to attract new things, then you may use Law of Attraction – at least as it is traditionally taught – day in, day out and you’re going to have zero success.
The more evolved an individual is (in other words the higher they are up the spiritual evolutionary tree), the more remarkable their manifestation will be – effortless, easy, and consistent.
Indeed, in states approaching enlightenment, manifestations appear so often they make an individual’s life look like a series of constant miracles and synchronicities.
Regrettably it can be shocking to people to discover the real truth about this. (We are not all equal, after all.)
But when you know that how well the Law of Attraction works for you depends on your level of conscious evolution, you are empowered…….. because you can do something to advance your spiritual evolution.
Some of things that can help you to do that include
clearing out the emotional wounds from your past
not investing your emotional energy in defending against those wounds
accruing more energy to focus outwards into the world and the objectives you want to achieve.
Of course when your spirit is diminished energetically because your vital force must be used to defend against emotional wounds from childhood, you’re less likely to have energy available for spiritual practice of any kind
Maybe that’s why manifestation doesn’t work for some people who haven’t taken any steps along a path of personal development.
Make no mistake about it: letting go of old limitations and delusions about “where you are in life” will unquestionably allow you to access higher energies that can raise your level of consciousness….. and therefore make manifestation more successful and reliable.
The truth is that no matter how enlightened you or any of us may feel, we are all still carrying emotional baggage from the past which will, to a greater or lesser extent, be affecting our ability to see the world as it truly is.
That means we cannot manifest reality in the way that we might want, nor can we focus the energy which we need to drive the process of manifestation.
In short, you may not be seeing the world as it is – you may be seeing a distorted version of the world because of your obscured perception and comparatively low level of consciousness.
So how easy is it to let go of old limiting beliefs and develop a high level of spiritual evolution?
Make no mistake – the object here is to become innocent and work towards being “the person you always were”. And that’s a truly wonderful path through life.
But it takes time…. so I suppose my question is: “Are you willing to make conscious evolution a part of your life, so that the inhibitions and limitations of the past will drop away from you, and you can manifest what you want in the world today?”
Or will you give up, as you may have given up with different things many times before, and live a dreary and banal life, dying as a loser?
One technique which can definitely help here is surrendering to a higher power. And that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to believe in “God”.
It seems to be a fundamental human need to believe in some kind of higher power – an energetic force or entity which is given various names by people such as the Divine, the Creator, Cosmic Consciousness, the Great Mystery, the Unity, and of course many other names as well.
But whatever you believe, it’s certainly true that if you have some kind of spiritual relationship with a higher power, you’re going to find it easier to raise your level of consciousness than if you don’t. (By the way, synchronicities reveal as much. They occur much more often for spiritually evolved people.)
Why? Because having a relationship with a higher power that is personally meaningful reminds you that in fact you are part of the universe, and not an isolated individual being here on the planet Earth.
Sidebar: You are part of the whole, and as such, it would only be natural for you to have an ability to communicate with the universe and to connect to it in such a way that you can influence how things manifest in the world at large.
And along with this, there is some responsibility on you to be loving to all life, and to respect and honor both the planet that you live on, and the other lifeforms with which you share it.
As you can see around you all the time, every day, when things come from the ego, or when actions and thoughts and feelings are driven by ego, selfishness and self-interest (at the expense of other people) tends to be the order of the day.
When you’re working from your ego, what you see is the world distorted through your own desires and needs and wants. Click here to learn more.
That’s when you don’t see the world through a vision of love and cooperation, of sharing and harmony.
It follows, therefore, that the more you can stay in a place of love and acceptance, a place where you honor all living beings and the world around you, the more likely you are to be in a place from which you can communicate effectively with the universal energies.
This idea has been expressed in various ways, including the concept of surrender to the highest good – also described as “aligning with the divine”.
But the essence of it is simple: the principle which drives everything positive in the world is love, so when you align yourself with love, you are aligning yourself with universal forces and divine power, as well as surrendering to the highest good for all concerned, and letting go of attachment and ego….
And this, perhaps more than anything, can help you to manifest what you want as quickly as possible. With the proviso, I might add, that you are seeking to obtain something for the highest good of all concerned rather than your own self-interest.
(As we discussed earlier, when self-interest comes into play, things tend to go wrong with the process of manifestation.)
Michael, who saw this website, sent in this inspirational success story about how he manifested a loving relationship.
Because of my background – an unwanted child, brought up in an emotionally abusive family by parents who were limited in every way – I found it hard to trust anyone as I grew up, and at some point I came to the conclusion that I would always be alone.
After all, that seemed like the safest way to be in the world.
At the same time, I was very adept at making friends – though interestingly enough, those friendships never lasted long when circumstances moved us physically apart.
And yet of course there was a consequence as I moved through puberty and adolescence into early adulthood – one I never expected: it seemed impossible for me to establish a long-term intimate romantic relationship.
Perhaps because of my desire to explore the world, I was never lacking short-term relationships – even one night stands – but that intimate, close relationship? It never appeared.
So finally, at the age of 39, I decided I’d had enough of this and things had to change. So the first thing that I did was to address my belief that “I’ll always be alone.” After all, when you think about it, there could hardly be a worse belief to hold if you’re looking for an intimate relationship than this!
How did I deal with it? By doing deep personal therapeutic work. To be exact, Shadow Work (look it up on the internet if you want). Now I’m not suggesting that everybody needs to do this to achieve success with their goal setting. But the Law of Attraction is a law that only works when certain conditions are met.
But I do believe that if you have deep-seated beliefs about yourself which are directly oppositional to your desired outcomes, you will have a hard time believing you can get what you want.
Since belief is essential to the process of manifestation, it’s not the work of a genius to see that things are going to be – shall we say – more challenging than they otherwise would be.
It’s entirely possible to reprogram your subconscious by using self hypnosis, autosuggestion (as Napoleon Hill and others so wisely suggested almost a hundred years ago), and simple repetition and affirmation.
You’ll find your own way, I have no doubt… and I see there is a page on this website about overcoming limiting beliefs which might be helpful in guiding you to different solutions to this challenge to manifestation.
So having done my “work”, I then needed to set my goal. And that was very simple: an intimate relationship with a beautiful woman who would be my soulmate for life, in a relationship of strength, quality, and mutual respect.
It was a long time ago now, but I seem to recall setting this goal in April, and applying a deadline of July 31 to getting this outcome. That’s often helpful, by the way, because it focuses the mind; but, like the goal itself, you have to believe it’s possible.
Just to reiterate, once again, if I hadn’t done the work on my belief that “I would always be alone”, it doesn’t seem very likely that I’d have been successful in achieving my outcome.
And my belief system at the time told me that if I set a target of achieving that outcome within, say, one week, I wouldn’t be successful. You get the point, I’m sure. Do what you believe in!
And so every weekday for three months, I spent about half an hour every afternoon visualizing myself in a loving relationship, enjoying the most wonderful experiences imaginable.
Now, when we talk about the emotional energies that can fuel manifestation, some of the most powerful appear to be love, gratitude and joy.
Indeed, Wayne Dyer, in his book Wishes Fulfilled, speaks of love as the only emotional fuel for manifestation.
Video: Wayne Dyer at Wanderlust Festival
Of course when I was imagining (or “envisioning” – a word which absolutely sums up the nature of this process) this particular outcome, or, to put it another way, seeing and feeling my relationship in my imagination as a current reality, it was easy to summon up the energies of love, gratitude and joy. After all, in my mind, that was the very nature of my “experience to be”!
My desire was so strong for this relationship that I didn’t question it would happen. My self respect had reached the point where I believed it was possible, that I was a good enough person to have a loving relationship which would last, and I enjoyed my visualizations.
And then at some point in this process, a catalogue from a holiday company dropped through my door.
This was from a company which owned a holistic holiday retreat center on a Greek island, where I’d visited a couple of years before. On impulse – or by design? – I signed up for a holiday in a particular two-week period in July.
I guess if I am honest about it, I did imagine that might be place where I could manifest a soulmate… particularly since most participants at this particular retreat center were women! But I can’t honestly say that I went there with the specific intention of meeting a partner.
And then, something arose: I think, looking back, it was some kind of important family gathering, but I’m not sure. The outcome, however, I remember very clearly: I had to move my two-week holiday back to start on 30 June.
And so, on June 30, I took the 24-hour trip by train, plane, boat, coach, another boat, and another coach to my destination. And on the way I traveled with my fellow holidaymakers, meeting, I thought, almost all of them.
Well, you’re probably ahead of me now. What happened next? At the introductory meeting on July 1, sitting in the opening circle, I looked across and I saw the woman I knew was there for me. How did I know? Well, how does one know these things?
And it was easy and delightful and exciting, and we’re still together 20 years later. Perhaps the most interesting point about the story is this: my beloved had to alter the dates of the holiday she’d booked, because of an invitation she’d received to a wedding. In fact, she had to move them in the opposite direction; she had to move the holiday forwards two weeks. And so her time in this beautiful holistic retreat center coincided with mine.
Now, what business is it of mine to know how the universe might have arranged and rearranged our lives, and arranged and rearranged everybody else’s lives so that the exact combination of circumstances that was necessary for us to meet was manifested in our physical reality?
The answer I think is clear: don’t mess with the Cursed Hows! Set your goal, have faith, keep the faith, supply the emotional energy, take some action, and one way or another the universe will manifest whatever it is you want.
When you hear a story like this, “miracles” become commonplace. And I suppose, for The Universal Force, God, Divine Intelligence, The Great Mind – call it what you will – miracles really are commonplace. After all, they happen every day….as our universal Law Of Attraction makes clear.
As Mike Dooley says: “Never give up. Everything that’s happened and is happening now is playing to your favor. Let this be your modus operandi and remember: throughout every journey, the miracles of progress are almost always invisible. What surrounds you today is no indicator of what’s going to unfold tomorrow. Where you are is never who you are.”
Mike Dooley, in his excellent book Manifesting Change, writes about an analogy for achieving goals and objectives.
As he points out, when you’re using a GPS Satellite Navigation system to obtain driving directions, the first thing you do is feed into the machine the destination where you want to end up.
Manifest Reality: How To Get What You Want
In a fraction of a second, the system will calculate how you get from your starting point to your finishing point, and in doing so, it will have considered every possible route, and come up with the quickest, easiest, and simplest way for you to get your destination.
It’s a fantastic analogy of how the universe works when you’re giving it an end result. You don’t need to know how the program calculates the journey from A to B; all you need to know is how to drive the car. As soon as you start out on your journey, the instructions will automatically guide you to your destination.
And note with a GPS satellite navigation system you don’t even have to feed your starting point into the system. You only have to provide your destination – yet the system can still get you there, and again it will consider every possible route for you to take before selecting the one that is going to allow you to reach your destination.
Goal setting is very similar to this, because the first thing you have to decide is where you want to get to – or rather, what you’d like your end result to be. You’ll see the importance of this very clearly, I hope: you can’t possibly hope to get a desired outcome unless you’ve made it very clear what that outcome is, both to yourself and the universe!
Your desired outcome must be both clear and accurate. Again, to return to the analogy of the GPS, if you make a mistake of only one character when you’re entering in your destination ZIP code or postal code, you can end up in completely the wrong location. Similarly, our universal Law Of Attraction requires clear instructions to work well for you.
And furthermore, there is something really significant about this for your personal development. In Shadow Work, we talk a lot about Sovereign Energy. This is the energy of the leader in your life, which you can think of as the part of you which manages your life, chooses which direction to take, chooses how to get there, and controls and governs your “realm” or “kingdom”.
Some of the qualities of the sovereign, be it King or Queen, are discernment, good judgement, wisdom, clarity of purpose, generosity of spirit, and a general tendency to act for the benefit of everybody in your world.
No doubt you can see that goal setting is something that the King or Queen in you takes care of. After all, your internal King or Queen is in charge of running your life.
(If you don’t like the word King or Queen, you can substitute anything more to your taste – chief, leader, manager, Chieftain, director… Whatever suits you. The principle is always the same – this is the part of you responsible for success in the world.)
Law of Attraction At Work
So manifesting reality is the work of this sovereign part of you: and as you can imagine, the qualities of a good sovereign are the qualities that you need to be successful at manifesting your reality.
Of course the importance of having sovereign qualities at work when you’re trying to manifest anything is most clearly seen when you are able to honor (i.e. appreciate and accept whole-heartedly) your own wishes and desires.
That honoring most clearly comes in the form of believing you can manifest what you want.
And it’s also seen in the quality of acceptance: that is to say, in your own acceptance that it’s right and proper for you to know what your dreams and wishes for the future are, and right and proper that you can achieve them, whether they be material, spiritual, or emotional.
Manifesting With A Purpose
Other people have spoken of the importance of having a sense of purpose in different ways: for example, some people speak of having “a reason to get out of bed in the morning”, or “knowing what you’re on the planet to do”, or “fulfilling your sacred contract”.
But it doesn’t matter how you see this. Because knowing what you want in life, and going for it, are intrinsically rewarding to the human mind.
One of the problems we face in our society is that many of us are brought up not to be “selfish”. We are taught that getting what we want is somehow wrong, or that we should focus more on other people than ourselves.
In some cases, of course, people don’t even know what they want because they’ve been so effectively taught not to take any notice of their own wishes or desires.
The truth of the matter couldn’t be more different: knowing what you want, and then being able to manifest it, is actually both a gift to yourself and a gift to the world.
The gift to you is that when you are achieving your own goals and objectives, your self-esteem goes up, and you become a more effective sovereign in your own life.
And once you become a more effective sovereign in your own life, your leadership and wisdom begin to impact on the world at large.
Over time, you may find that your desires and objectives become “transpersonal” – in other words, that you begin to set goals and objectives which not only fulfill you, but which clearly work for the benefit of humanity as a whole.
This transpersonal move into manifesting stuff – not only for your own benefit but for the benefit of the world – is what enables people like Bill Gates, Bono, Bob Geldof, Hillary Clinton, Richard Branson, and many other philanthropists who are not publicly recognized, to shine a bright light into dark places in the world and to work positively for the good.
And nothing is more satisfying to the human spirit and when you’re fulfilling a purpose that you believe to be part of the bigger picture of how the universe is operating.
In short, as Mike Dooley says, “Universal principles are always at play. When it comes to choosing your end results and deliberately shaping your life, it’s up to you to decide exactly what your priorities and preferences are.”
Manifestation is something that really confuses people.
A lot of people believe in the idea, or at least would like to believe in the idea, but find it quite difficult to actually make it work for them.
Yet the truth of the matter is that one of your purposes in life is to learn how to harness your desires, wishes and energies, and turn them into reality.
As Napoleon Hill put it, “What the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” We have been given both the power to imagine and outcome, and the means to achieve it.
There are traditions going back to the beginning of recorded human history which speak of the power of Manifestation and The Law of Attraction.
Manifestation is the ability of any human being to use certain techniques to manifest what he or she desires.
The Law Of Attraction – more accurately Laws – are the principles which you can use to manifest your desires.
There’s nothing mysterious about this.
Although the early teachers of manifestation tried to hide their teachings in secrecy and mystery, and tried to limit the knowledge for a select few who had undergone initiation rituals of one kind or another, the fact is this knowledge is now and always has been available to everyone.
Or at least, to those who care to look for it.
And manifesting your desires is a healthy way to live.
You know that your thoughts create reality — otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this. But you may wonder how you can control your thoughts, and you may want to know what techniques you have to use, so that manifestation of your desires becomes consistent and reliable.
One of the original accounts of how to turn thoughts into reality was the Kybalion.
This was an ancient Egyptian text, but its origins are irrelevant.
Our only interest in it today is to see what it can tell us about Laws Of Attraction and the process of Manifestation.
The Kybalion was written by an Egyptian sage called Hermes. That’s why these teachings are called hermetic teachings. Like many others who have been interested in manifestation, Hermes tried to make sense of the principles behind this phenomenon by classifying and ordering what he thought was going on.
And so, to make sense of it, he came up with seven sacred secrets or principles of manifestation. Here, they are, with some comments about how they relate to us nowadays as we manifest our desires.
The First Sacred Hermetic Secret Or Principle Of Manifestation
Everything in the entire universe, whether physical, intellectual, spiritual or emotional, is part of an all-encompassing divine creation.
People give this different names: The Mystery, All That Is, The Life Force, Cosmic Consciousness, and so on … you may have your own name for it.
Of course if this is true, and we are all living inside an omnipresent and omniscient energy force, or divine presence, then we are all more connected than we are separate, more similar than we are different.
A Modern Interpretation
Nothing, as you know, is permanent.
Change is a continuous force all around us. And whether you call controlling and directing energy of the universe Spirit, Divine Wisdom, or All That Is, this energy is present in every place.
In the Kybalion, Hermes put it like this: “That which is the fundamental truth, the substantial reality, is beyond true naming, but wise men call it the All. In its essence, the All is unknowable. The All must have continuously and always existed, for nothing else could create it, and nothing else could exist outside it. The All must be infinite in space as there is no place outside of it.”
This, of course, begins to sound a bit like “God”. But do we really need to consider the nature of Spirit, the nature of “All That Is”?
No, we do not, simply because spirit transcends our understanding, just as it always has and always will.
Given the grace to use Spirit (or whatever you call the universal energy) to manifest our desires, need we look beyond the techniques that we can use to get what we want, or should we be content in knowing that the universe has granted us the power of manifestation?
To me the answer is clear: explanation is not necessary. It is our grace that we can manifest whatever we wish, when we know how to do so.
And do we really need to consider the divine paradox — that matter is both illusory and real, simultaneously?
Modern quantum physics teaches us that matter is energy, and energy is matter, and that surely, is that!
The point for us right here, right now, in manifesting our desires is to simply keep in mind that because matter and energy are interchangeable, the power of our brains is such that it can influence the manifestation of matter around us.
It’s also able to change events and energies around us so that certain outcomes can occur, can be made manifest.
And in any event, it’s not true that our universe is either an illusion or a paradox. In fact, our physical universe is but one, very real, manifestation of the energy of the universe.
It happens to be the manifestation that we require for our lives as physical beings on this planet.
At the same time, because we are also spiritual beings and we have an energetic existence, we can connect with the energy behind the universe, and influence how things manifest on earth.
Every system of manifestation, every example of Law Of Attraction, depends upon a certain mental process.
The hermeticists, the followers of the Egyptian sage Hermes, used words like meditation and divine attention to describe the process that somebody needed to use before they could engage with the mental energy, the spiritual energy of the universe. Others have called these processes, desire, belief, visualization, faith and more.
The Second Sacred Secret
The phrase which has come to sum up The Second Sacred Hermetic Principle is: “As above, so below … as below, so above.”
What this means in practice is that the physical, spiritual, or mental activities are subject to the same spiritual laws.
A Modern Interpretation
We all know the saying “As above, so below; as below, so above”. The “above” refers to the spiritual plane, and “below” to the physical. That’s how people think of our spiritual existence – somehow higher than us. But it’s incorrect to do so, because all three planes of existence co-exist together in the same time and space.
So, in one sense, dividing our existence into spiritual, mental, and physical realms is artificial – they are all aspects of life and existence which co-exist together.
In other words, the physical, mental and spiritual realms reflect the qualities, each of the other. People think of the spiritual plane as having the highest vibrational energy – and maybe it does.
For me, a more useful way to think of these three planes of existence is to see them as different aspects of the All, the Mystery, All That Is, Cosmic Consciousness, or whatever name you wish to use for the power of the Universe.
We can touch the cosmic consciousness by using our minds in certain ways.
Any formula for manifesting your desires, for getting what you want, achieving success, setting goals and making them come true, will ALWAYS involves some mental process that allows connection between your mind and the cosmic consciousness.
The most ancient form of such connection, of course, is prayer. But how many people have been let down by prayer over the years? Far more, I suspect that have had their desires manifested. We’ll examine why prayer works so inconsistently in the section of these writings about Belief.
The Third Sacred Secret
Everything in the universe is composed of matter which vibrates at a certain rate; and matter is just a physical form of energy.
We all know that is true, as the work of the atomic physicists from the days of Einstein onwards has shown.
It is a powerful and amazing thought, even so: what appears to be solid is, in fact, just energy. And since energy is universal, and manifests in different forms only because it has different energetic frequencies, it follows that we can probably influence what’s going on around us by changing the frequency of our own vibrations.
A Modern Interpretation
The fact that energy and matter are interchangeable means that every thought, every emotion, every desire, attracts to itself its physical equivalent.
You’ve probably experienced how your mood can be affected by the mood of others — and, as you know, the same is true in reverse.
When you with a person who is happy, you tend to feel happy, and when you’re with a person who is depressed and negative, you feel your own mood lowering. (Unless you protect yourself from the transmission of their energy to you.)
Naturally energy flows from a higher energetic state to a lower energetic state.
That’s why you raise your emotional energy when manifesting…. (we’ll see how you can do this later on).
Somehow, the mind has the power to attract towards you the things about which you consistently think: so if you consistently think about poverty, you’re raising your awareness of poverty, and you’re avoiding the opportunities that wealth presents to you.
This means you generally have a “poverty consciousness”.
This simply means you’re functioning at one end of the poverty / wealth polarity – and by changing your thoughts to what some might consider to be a “higher” frequency vibration, you can raise your expectations so that you move both mentally and physically to the prosperity end of the spectrum.
And the same is true of any other polarity that exists in your life: health, wealth, relationships, success – these things are there for the taking, and the primary step to achieving them is to match your vibrations, your energies, your thought processes, with the energy in the world that will make these things manifest as a positive, healthy reality for you.
To put it more simply: you get what you think about.
But of course, you have to think about your desires in a particular way – which is the whole point of manifestation and Law Of Attraction.
The Fourth Sacred Secret
Everything that appears to be an opposite is in fact just simply a polarity.
So, like masculinity and femininity, poverty and prosperity are simply at opposite ends of another spectrum. Enlightenment and ignorance are another pair of qualities which occur at different ends, at different polarities, of another spectrum.
By raising our energy so that it more closely approaches that of the higher end of a particular spectrum, it’s possible to transmute unwanted and undesirable situations into something more positive.
A Modern Interpretation
If you worry about money, or complain that you don’t have enough, your thoughts are at the poverty end of the finance polarity. That’s what you attract.
And even if you don’t appear to have money right now, simply changing your thought processes to focus on prosperity and opportunity will change your physical circumstances.
But of course you must believe that prosperity is possible.
Releasing, eliminating, changing, or even destroying your limiting beliefs is a fundamental aspect of getting what you want and manifesting success.
Take love and hate.
A lot of people think these are completely different things. Yet they are simply opposite ends of a polarity: very few people feel either completely pure love or completely pure hate. Most of us experience a mix of these emotions.
The principle of polarity also allows you to influence another person’s mental state: to either elevate or depress it.
Another example: depression and fear can be transmuted into positivity and courage.
And you almost certainly will have experienced how the transmission of mental energy from one person to another can be conducted.
If you consistently attract negative people to you, is it because you are negative yourself? (Misery loves company!) Or is it because these depressed people are taking your positive energy to make themselves feel better?
The Fifth Sacred Secret
The Kybalion suggests that the entire universe operates to a precise and predictable rhythm.
A Modern Interpretation
While the Kybalion seems to suggest that every movement in one direction will produce a compensating movement in the opposite direction – in other words every success hast to be followed by a failure, every rise to be followed by a fall – the truth is rather different.
Success can be a continuous process. Getting what you want can be practiced each and every day.
There’s no negative karma coming just because you get what you desire. The universe did not give you the power to manifest what you want only to take it off you again.
If people succeed and then subsequently fail, they do so merely because they have a belief system which holds that every success has to be followed by failure.
Change your belief system, to expect success, and success will be a continuous process. We are not subject to any kind of Law Of Compensation as the Kybalion suggested.
The Sixth Sacred Secret
This is simply the law of cause and effect: every cause has its effect, every effect has its cause. Chance does not exist: it’s only a name given to the law of cause and effect where those two qualities are not yet recognized.
While there are many levels of causation, the essence of this principle is that nothing can happen by chance.
Life mastery, the ability to manifest using the Law Of Attraction, is the product of YOU becoming a conscious cause rather than a passive recipient of effect.
A Modern Interpretation
Every event has a cause.
Even so, I don’t buy into the idea that wherever you are in life right now is the product of your own creation.
Too many people have suffered abusive childhoods and are still experiencing the consequences in their own adult lives for me to believe that the universe – or even the people themselves – actually chose to manifest into an abusive childhood so that they could “learn something”.
I think this is banal and simplistic, and possibly even an insult to the creative design of the universe. (And I might be wrong, of course.)
I’d much prefer to understand the law of cause and effect working as follows: that in your adult life today, every single action you take has a consequence. What the universe gives you is the power to redeem your situation….
Even when you cannot understand why something has happened to you, you can safely assume that the law of cause and effect is at work. Perhaps the cause of what has happened to you (the effect or outcome) is simply too complicated to see clearly.
To take responsibility for your own life, it is necessary to accept that you CAN AND DO create, right here, right now, the things that happen to you.
No matter how bad your childhood may have been, and no matter how limiting the environment in which you grew up, you do now have the power, if you choose, to change your situation by taking control of the causes of what happens in your life, of your “outcomes”.
You can also visualize your outcomes – or effects – so you set clear and specific objectives for your life, which your mind will then go to work to produce. That is how you really take full responsibility for your life.
The Seventh Sacred Secret
This is a development of the fourth Sacred Secret: it ascribes male and female energy to every force and creation in the universe.
I’m not entirely clear what Hermes meant by this, but he seemed to think that a combination of male energy and female energy were important in manifestation.
He wasn’t referring to conventional gender roles here, but something more like female energy being an attracting force and male energy being a creative force.
A Modern Interpretation
Rather than thinking of every event and experience in the universe as governed by feminine and masculine energy, let us simply say that there are different and complementary forces at work in the world, some of which will get us what we want, and others which will not.
The energy of creation, the energy of manifestation.
The energy of visualization, the energy of action.
The energy of cause, the energy of effect.
The energy of passion, and the energy of passivity.
The energy of desire, and the energy of acceptance.
The energy of belief, and the energy of hopelessness.
The energy of expectancy, and the energy of despair.
Perhaps these are better ways of describing the opposing energetic forces that the Kybalion described as masculine and feminine.
So we can take as much or as little of this as we wish, and transmute it into a modern system of manifestation.
Manifesting Your Desires
One of the most interesting things about working with Law Of Attraction principles is how easily and quickly they work: at least, when you have mastered the antecedents, the requirements, the preconditions, for the universal laws to take effect.
We don’t really have to look at complicated principles which were created by less sophisticated peoples (by our standards) than ourselves to explain a natural process.
The basis of manifestation is simple: intense desire, complete belief, and confident expectancy. Oh, and action in the world….
You can see and hear more about Desire, Belief, Expectancy and Action on this website.
Take away from the Kybalion some simple straightforward truths:
That whenever negative energies present, so must the positive energy be present too. Napoleon Hill summed this up when he said that “in every adversity there lies the seed of an equal or greater benefit.”
Maintain your expectations towards the positive end of every polarity. Keep your thoughts positive, and you will manifest positive outcomes. Napoleon Hill summed this up: “The way you think determines the quality of your life.”
Balance visualization and creative thought with action.
And remember that you can think of your inner masculine and feminine as having different skills and abilities.
Since each of us has an inner masculine energy and an inner feminine energy, we are all capable of manifesting our desires by using the Law Of Attraction.
The masculine loves to take action, the feminine loves to create ideas. The masculine loves to go out and build, while the feminine taps into the creative unconscious.
One way to balance your masculine and feminine energy is to consistently engage in giving and receiving: give something every day (time, money, friendly words, or something more tangible) without any attachment to receiving praise, rewards or gratitude. This is your masculine energy at work.
And also allow your feminine to receive: it is very receptive to the whispers of the divine, of the collective unconscious. Quiet time, meditation, visualization, will allow your feminine to receive, to pass ideas on to the masculine, the energy which is always ready to take action.
“The possession of knowledge, unless accompanied by manifestation and expression in action, is like the hoarding of precious metals: a vain and foolish thing. Knowledge, like wealth, is intended for use.” – The Kybalion
Here are two of the most important questions in the Universe: What is Manifestation? What is The Law Of Attraction?
And the third most important question, which you might be asking yourself, is this: How can I make it work for me?
What Do We Mean By Manifestation?
Quite simply, we can define manifestation as getting what you want by asking the Universe to provide it. Of course, you have to “ask” in a certain way! That’s what this site is all about.
Most people think of this in terms of financial success. But it can be anything – a great relationship, a job, a life partner, a house, a lifestyle…. you name it, the Universe is willing to provide it.
But only if you do things a certain way. You see, we were given the power to manifest what we want, but there are some requirements that the Universe expects us to fulfill.
These are summed up in the eternal or universal Law of Attraction. This is a Law of Nature which has always existed, will always exist and is our birthright. It goes like this:
I will take you through every step of the law on this website. But the essence of it is simple:
When you desire something with total commitment and passion, so strong that you can almost taste your desire for a certain outcome, and you combine that with complete faith or belief in your ability to achieve it, you activate the universal mechanism by which you can get whatever you want.
Combined with your complete expectancy that whatever you want will manifest, and some action on your part to show your commitment to your desired outcome, the universe offers you the opportunity to get what you want more easily than you could ever imagine.
Indeed, this process is almost magical – or at least it can seem that way! But the definition of manifestation and the meaning of our universal Law Of Attraction given above are simple and compelling.
Note: some people wonder about the difference between belief and expectancy. I always sum it up like this: I believe a man or woman can go into space, but I don’t expect to go there myself….
How To Get What You Want
And how do you convey your desire, your belief and your expectancy to the universe (or infinite intelligence, also known as cosmic consciousness or the Mystery or even God)?
You can visualize your desired outcome, firing up the energy of your visualization with intense emotion. (This MUST matter to you! In other words, your outcome MUST be important. It MUST be something you really care about, with your heart and soul.)
You can act “as if” you have already achieved it.
You can pray, with faith.
You can take action to show your commitment.
You can “burn your bridges” so you have no alternative but to seek out your objective. (Note: I don’t recommend this approach!)
You can surround yourself with like-minded people who support you.
And you can do much more, all of which is explained on this website.
Is the sun rising or setting on your ambition?
Manifestation Is Not New
Since the earliest days of humanity, men and women alike have known about the secrets of manifestation. Many have tried to define it, to give it meaning.
Some seekers after these truths have tried to keep the information secret. Others have tried to spread the word, and been highly successful.
Napoleon Hill comes to mind here. I feature a lot of his work on this website. His book Think and Grow Rich is said to have sold over 100 million copies. Think about that for a moment: 100 million copies since 1937.
Others have spread the word and been highly successful but ridiculed for it – at least by the ignorant and unknowing. The Secretwas a great book in many ways, but author Rhonda Byrne has received a lot of ridicule because of it. Why? She was simply setting out the secrets of getting what you want, just as many others have done before her.
Perhaps those who are too scared or hidebound or blinkered to see the possibility of their own greatness are scared by the greatness of others. Perhaps the sense of lack of fulfillment that comes from not achieving greatness or even just fulfilling your potential is too painful, so they seek to bring others down to their level. Who knows?
And for those who can rise above limited thinking, the rewards are waiting. And the knowledge of how to achieve whatever you desire is described on this website. And the meaning of it all will be clear, the definition simple.
All you need is within you now. This website can help you access it, so that you can achieve success in whatever field you wish.
As A Person Thinketh, So She or He Becomes
You are what you think. Or to put it another way, “All that you achieve and all that you fail to achieve is the direct result of your own thoughts, feelings and beliefs.”
You can blame others for your life, or your state of affairs – and most people do. But this changes nothing. Your life is now your creation, the end product of your beliefs, your thoughts, and your actions.
You make or unmake yourself by the thoughts you keep and the attitudes and beliefs you hold. You can be either your own greatest ally or your own worst enemy!
Doubt and fear never accomplished anything, and never will. They always lead to failure. Purpose, energy, presence and power, and all other strong thoughts, are lost when doubt and fear gain dominance.
But when you conquer doubt and fear you have conquered failure.
When you hold the positive, the powerful, the creative energy of the universe, you can manifest whatever you want. You can truly be the master of your destiny. You really can live the life you wish.
You alone hold the key to your future, and your success, and your achievements in life. Feast or famine: you choose. It is only down to you.
Our Deepest Fear (by Marianne Williamson)
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Marianne Williamson narrates her own work on success.
The Real Truth About Manifestation And Law Of Attraction
